Swiss cheese began to be produced in Dmanisi 150 years ago. At the end of the nineteenth century, 55 cheese factories operated in Georgia, of which 33 belonged to the Swiss. The main part of the enterprises was located in Kvemo Kartli. Traditional Swiss cheese was produced in the region and exported to Europe.

The Swiss agricultural school has revived a forgotten 150-year-old history and resumed production of alpine cheese in the Dmanisi region.

Currently, the company is led by a Swiss cheese expert, with whom college students work with daily during the training process.

The HACCP standard is implemented in the enterprise. At the enterprise, you can take master classes in cheese making and participate in the production process.

The city of Dmanisi is located in the southern mountains of Georgia on the volcanic plateau of Dmanisi, on both banks of the Mashaveri River, and at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level. Ancient human remains have been found in the site of Dmanisi which is 1.7 million years old and is the oldest in the world after Africa. In addition, the territory of Nakalakari (ruins) has buildings for various historical and cultural purposes, some dating from the sixth century. Near the school is a 6th-century basilica and ancient ruins are located on the Gomareti plateau. Around the school, there are many tourist areas, coniferous forests, and lakes that create ideal places for tourists to relax.
